Smith in Action in Southbound Throwdown...
(April 14, 2024) The Brenden Smith Motorsports team made the trek to All-Tech Raceway in Ellisville, Florida on April 12-13 for the annual 'Southbound Throwdown,' which was sanctioned by the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series. In Friday's $5,000 to win weekend opener, Brenden Smith unfortunately got into the wall during qualifying and was forced to scratch from the remainder of the evening due to significant damage. With a $15,000 payday up for grabs on Saturday evening, Brenden ran sixth in his heat race, second in his B-Main, and twentieth in the 50-lap headliner. Brenden Smith Fifth in Spring Nationals Points
(April 7, 2024) The Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals tour took the #17ss team to the state of Alabama on April 5-6 for a pair of special events. On Friday evening at Buckshot Speedway in Clanton, Alabama, Brenden Smith timed in eleventh quickest in Group A during the qualifying session, ran second in his B-Main, and was battling for a top ten showing in the $7,553 to win feature until a spin helped relegate him to a twelfth place showing.

At the historic East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama on Saturday night, a $10,053 payday was up for grabs in the annual 'Jimmy Thomas Memorial.' Brenden finished seventh in his heat race, third in the B-Main, and eleventh in the 53-lapper. He now finds himself fifth in the latest version of the Spring Nationals point standings leading EAMS. Smith Transfers into $21,000 Lil' Bill Corum Memorial
(March 31, 2024) Brenden Smith Motorsports closed out the month of March with a Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals Series doubleheader in the Volunteer State of Tennessee. Up first was a $10,053 to win shootout at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tennessee on Friday night, March 29. Brenden Smith unfortunately narrowly missed out on the 53-lap main event after placing sixth in his heat race and third in his B-Main.

The double-dip then wrapped up on Saturday evening, March 30 with the 4th edition of the Lil' Bill Corum Memorial at the bad-fast Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee. Brenden stopped the clock fifteenth quickest overall during qualifying prior to nabbing the fifth transfer spot through his heat race. After starting the $21,000 to win headliner from the inside of the eighth row, the Dade City, Florida ace brought home a seventeenth place showing after 75 green flag circuits. Brenden Smith Motorsports Back on Lucas Oil Trail
(March 25, 2024) The Brenden Smith Motorsports team invaded the states of Indiana and Ohio on March 23-24 for a pair of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series battles. On Saturday in the annual 'Indiana Icebreaker' at the legendary Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana, Brenden finished sixth in his loaded heat race and seventh in his B-Main before being awarded an emergency provisional to transfer into the $15,000 to win headliner. At the end of 50 green flag circuits around the 1/4-mile oval, Brenden was scored in the twenty-fourth finishing position.

The dirt-slinging action then quickly shifted to Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio on Sunday for the annual running of the 'Buckeye Spring 50,' which shelled out a $12,000 top prize. Brenden placed ninth in his stacked heat race and seventh in his B-Main. He once again relied on an emergency provisional and wound up twenty-fifth in the final rundown of the 50-lapper. Deuces Wild Closes Out Speedweeks for Smith
(February 25, 2024) The 2024 version of "Speedweeks" for the #17ss team came to a close on February 23-24 at Golden Isles Speedway near Brunswick, Georgia. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presided over the 'Deuces Wild' weekend with the High Limit Sprint Car Series and the double-dip for the Super Late Models was scheduled to start on Friday night with a $10,000 to win throwdown. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans and the contest was canceled due to inclement weather.

On Saturday evening at GIS, a total of 45 competitors signed into the pit area to do battle for the $20,000 first place prize money. Brenden Smith placed ninth in both his heat race and his B-Main, but was awarded an emergency provisional to gain access into the 50-lap main event. Brenden ultimately improved seven positions during the course of the race and ended his "Speedweeks" journey with a twenty-first place showing. Smith Tackles East Bay for Winternationals
(February 10, 2024) With East Bay Raceway Park set to close at the end of this year, the final 'Winternationals' program ever for the Super Late Models took place tonight at the storied Gibsonton, Florida facility. A total of 65 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series competitors signed into the pit area to vie for the $15,000 payday in front of a standing-room-only crowd. Brenden Smith stopped the clock twenty-ninth quickest in Group A during the qualifying session, but later blasted all the way up to third in his heat race to grab the final transfer spot through the prelim. (February 9, 2024) The penultimate event of the 48th Annual 'Winternationals' took place earlier this evening at East Bay Raceway Park and Brenden Smith Motorsports was gunning for the $12,000 first place prize money. Brenden Smith posted the twenty-fourth quickest lap in Group A during time trials before running eighth in his heat race and thirteenth in his B-Main. Unfortunately, Brenden was not able to make the start in the 50-lap main event that was won by Jonathan Davenport.

(February 8, 2024) It was a busy night at East Bay Raceway Park, as a pair of features were held at the track deemed as the "Clay by the Bay." In the regularly scheduled $10,000 to win program for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, Brenden Smith unfortunately missed out on transferring into the 40-lap feature after running ninth in both his heat race and his B-Main. The young Dade City, Florida ace also failed to transfer into the $5,000 to win main event in Monday's rain postponed show following a ninth place heat finish and an eighth place effort in his B-Main.

(February 7, 2024) The 48th edition of the 'Winternationals' continued tonight at East Bay Raceway Park, as a $7,000 winner's check was up for grabs for the cars and stars racing with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. Brenden Smith clicked off the twentieth fastest lap in Group B during time trials and later finished sixth in both his heat race and his B-Main. Brenden was unfortunately not able to advance into the 40-lap main event tonight at the "Clay by the Bay."

(February 6, 2024) A $5,000 first place prize was on the line tonight at East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida in what was essentially round one of the 'Winternationals' due to Monday's rain-out. Brenden Smith knocked down the twentieth quickest time in Group A during the qualifying session before running seventh in both his heat race and his B-Main. Unfortunately, the Dade City, Florida ace was unable to make the start in the 30-lap main event that was ultimately won by Hudson O'Neal.

(February 5, 2024) Tonight's opening portion of the 48th Annual 'Winternationals' at East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida has been postponed. The $5,000 to win show for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will be made up in segments at the conclusion of each regularly scheduled program over the course of the next three nights at the "Clay by the Bay."

At the conclusion of Tuesday's program, time trials for Monday's event will be contested. On Wednesday, heat races and B-Mains for Monday will be contested at the conclusion of the regularly scheduled program. Finally, the 25-lap A-Main from Monday will take place following Thursday night’s shootout.

Smith Follows Lucas Oil Tour to Ocala Speedway
(February 1, 2024) Brenden Smith Motorsports invaded Ocala Speedway in Ocala, Florida on January 30-31 for a pair of $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series throwdowns. On Tuesday night in the opener, Brenden Smith ran eighth in his heat race and seventh in his B-Main, but was in line for a series emergency provisional and ultimately placed twenty-third in the final rundown of the 40-lap feature. Speedweeks Continues for Smith at Brunswick
(January 27, 2024) Following last night's wash out at Golden Isles Speedway, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presided over the third and final event of the 'Super Bowl of Racing' tonight, which boasted a whopping $25,000 first place prize. Brenden Smith laid down the twentieth fastest lap in Group A during the qualifying session and later ran sixth in his stacked heat race. (January 26, 2024) Tonight's racing action at Golden Isles Speedway has been rained out. The second leg of the 'Super Bowl of Racing' weekend at the Brunswick, Georgia-area oval, which was slated to pay $12,000 to the winner, will not be rescheduled.

(January 25, 2024) Night one of the annual 'Super Bowl of Racing' at Golden Isles Speedway near Brunswick, Georgia officially kicked off the 2024 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series season. A total of 51 Super Late Model competitors piled into the pit area today to vie for the $10,000 payday. Brenden Smith qualified twentieth quickest in Group A during the time trial session before running eighth in his loaded heat race and thirteenth in his B-Main. Unfortunately, Brenden was not able to find a way into the 40-lap main event that was ultimately won by Hudson O'Neal.

Brenden Smith Lifts Lid to 2024 in Sunshine Nationals
(January 20, 2024) A $15,000 top prize was on the line tonight at Volusia Speedway Park in the third and final round of the season-opening 'Sunshine Nationals.' The World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Model Series once again presided over the high-speed competition at the Barberville, Florida facility and a total of 56 Super Late Model drivers signed into the pit area. Brenden Smith stopped the clock fourteenth fastest in Group B during time trials, but was unfortunately wrecked at the flagstand on the opening lap of his heat race. (January 19, 2024) Night two of the 'Sunshine Nationals' took place earlier this evening at Volusia Speedway Park and a $12,000 winner's check was up for grabs for the World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Model Series competitors. Brenden Smith clicked off the fourteenth quickest lap in Group A during the qualifying session prior to running sixth in his heat race and seventh in his B-Main. Unfortunately, Brenden was unable to make the start in the 35-lap main event that was won by Devin Moran.

(January 18, 2024) With a high chance of inclement weather, Brenden Smith opted to skip tonight's scheduled season opener at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida. The $10,000 to win World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Model Series lid lifter was ultimately rained-out following the Super Late Model hot lap session. The #17ss team will vie for the $12,000 top prize tomorrow evening at the Daytona Beach-area speedplant!
